Stuart Ware RIBA
Stuart, prior spending several years working in London with Leigh Brooks attended Oxford Brookes University where in addition to his Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture he also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Built Resource Studies (BRS) with an emphasis on the opportunities and skills required for the reuse and redevelopment of existing building stock before completing his Architectural education at The Architectural Association.
Stuart’s experience with BWP extends from works on New Build houses such as at the British Wildlife Centre and other sites across the south as well as working on a substantial stone barn conversion in Northumberland incorporating many sustainable elements such as Ground Source Heat Pumps and Photovoltaic roof arrays. These projects have also been complemented with several extension schemes to a variety of dwellings.
The redevelopment of Old Reigatian Rugby Club has also involved a great deal of involvement from Stuart, both as an Architect and also Project Manager. The scheme for a substantial new clubhouse and leisure facilities has again also incorporated renewable and sustainable servicing strategies as well as having to find favour with the Local Authority owing to its siting on the edge of the town in Green Belt.
A member of SPAB, the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings, Stuart’s interest extends from the new build across to the suitable reuse and preservation of our built heritage.
