Successful Air-tightness Test Result of 0.56 air-changes for Farnham Passivhaus build

As works continue on site on the new Passivhaus private home in Farnham, Surrey we are delighted to confirm that the all-important air-tightness test was carried out yesterday and resulted in a level of 0.56 m³/(h.m²).

When you know that current Building Regulations demand a result lower then 10.0 you can see what a dramatic improvement this is.

Careful detailing, construction and selection of Passivhaus Certified windows and external doors, limiting services penetrations through the external fabric, lots of air-tightness tape at junctions all help to achieve, and better, the 0.60 Passivhaus limit.
